Go the Distance Walk and Family Fun Day Contribution!

On May 1, 2016 Justin’s Wings of Hope Foundation board members attended Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital’s 12th Annual Go the Distance Walk and Family Fun Day at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY. The event was a mega success with nearly 1,000 attendees raising close to $350,000.

Justin’s Wings of Hope Board members created a team with Isaac E. Young Elementary school students of New Rochelle to participate in the walk. Justin’s Wings of Hope Foundation made an incredible $3,000 contribution to the cause. It was a day filled with community building and education for a great cause!

Go the Distance is the largest annual fundraising event for Maria Fareri Children's Hospital, a Member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network, to support the most advanced care available to more than 20,000 critically ill infants and children each year in Westchester, the Hudson Valley and Southwest Connecticut.

“These funds will enable us to meet the growing demand for the hospitals highly specialized services and ensure that the region's most critically ill and injured children can be treated when they need it the most,” said Brenda L.Fareri, Vice Chair, Westchester Medical Center Foundation.

Justin's Wings of Hope Foundation team was proud to participate in this event for such a great cause.
